SEO pricing in Morocco: rates, what is included, and what a showcase website can do on its own
Real SEO rates in Morocco in 2026, what an SEO service must include, what a well-built website already covers, and how to read a quote.

SEO has no fixed price, because it is not a product: it is work, and its quantity and quality vary. In Morocco you will find offers at MAD 500 per month and contracts at MAD 15,000 per month for something that goes by the same name, “SEO”. This article gives the real ranges seen in 2026, explains what each service must include, separates what you pay for from what a well-built website already covers, and teaches you to read a quote.
It is written by Léra Concept, a web agency in Marrakech that includes basic SEO in every showcase website and offers monitoring as part of its maintenance. So we have an interest, and we declare it; we have also read dozens of SEO quotes from our clients before they joined us, and that experience is what feeds this guide. To understand the mechanics themselves, first read our guide to SEO in Morocco.
Why do SEO prices vary so much?
Three reasons explain the gaps, and none of them is chance.
The scope. “Doing a site’s SEO” can mean fixing ten page titles in an hour, or restructuring a hundred-page website, writing twenty articles and earning links for a year. The first is worth a few hundred dirhams, the second tens of thousands. A quote that does not describe the scope makes any comparison impossible.
The competition on your searches. Ranking first for “florist Témara” takes a Google Business Profile and a decent page. Ranking first for “real estate agency Casablanca” or “car insurance Morocco” takes months of content and links against established competitors. The same provider will charge five times more for the second, and rightly so.
The state of the website. A well-built site already has half the work done. A slow site with no structure, no languages and broken URLs needs a rebuild first: no SEO subscription will lift a site that takes eight seconds to appear. Many expensive subscriptions are spent trying to make up for a badly built website.
On top of this comes the provider’s level: a junior freelancer, an experienced consultant and an agency with a team and tools have neither the same costs nor the same results. Price guarantees nothing either way: we have seen contracts at MAD 8,000 per month with no measurable deliverable, and freelancers at MAD 2,000 per month who were very effective.
The rates seen in Morocco in 2026
These ranges come from the quotes our clients have shown us and from the offers published by Moroccan providers. They apply to small and medium-sized businesses; large accounts are in another bracket.

Two readings. For a small local business, the most profitable item is the initial optimization and the Google Business Profile: that is what makes the site appear, once, for a long time. For a business in a competitive market, it is monthly support with regular content, provided the site is already well built.
What a serious SEO service includes, line by line
To compare two quotes, you need to know what each line covers. Here are the expected deliverables, and the time they represent.
The audit
A written document that examines the technical side (speed, mobile, https, errors, indexing), the content (pages, titles, quality, duplicates), the keywords (the ones you already appear for, the ones you should target, with search volumes), the competition (who is ahead of you and why), the Google Business Profile and the links. It ends with an action plan ranked by impact and by effort. A serious audit takes one to three days. An automated “free audit” of two pages is not an audit, it is a sales approach.
The initial optimization
Bringing the site in line with what Google expects: a unique title and description on every page, a heading hierarchy, structured data, compressed images with alt text, a sitemap, error and redirect fixes, Google Search Console set up, and the Google Business Profile linked. That is a few days’ work on a showcase website, more on a larger site. On a new, well-built site, all of it is done during the build: that is the case for every site we deliver, and it is why we do not bill it separately.
Content
Service pages rewritten to answer real searches, and regular articles. An optimized article calls for keyword research, an outline, 1,000 to 2,500 words of writing, sources, internal links and a proofread. Count four to eight hours per article for serious work. Offers of ten articles for MAD 1,000 deliver generated text with no proofreading, which Google devalues and your clients do not read. Google describes what it expects in its guidance on helpful content.
Links
Earning mentions and links from other websites: reputable directories, partners, press, guest articles. It is relationship work, slow and manual. Offers of “100 backlinks for MAD 500” sell links on worthless sites that achieve nothing and can do harm; Google describes them in its spam policies. For a small Moroccan business, around ten real links are enough, and they mostly come from content worth citing.
Monitoring and reporting
A monthly report showing the rankings on the target searches, the visits coming from Google, the leads received (form, WhatsApp, calls), what was done during the month and what is planned next. Without that report, you cannot judge. Reports that only show rising “impressions”, with no clicks and no leads, often hide a result of zero.
What a well-built website includes, and what it does not
This distinction saves a lot of money. Part of SEO is a property of the site: either it was built with it or it was not. The other part is ongoing work.
| Included when a serious website is built | Ongoing work, to do yourself or have done |
|---|---|
| Structure: one page per service and per city | New pages as your offer or your areas change |
| Titles, descriptions and H1 on every page | Adjustments based on the real searches seen in Search Console |
| Structured data, sitemap, robots.txt, https, canonical | A check after every change to the site |
| Speed: compressed images, no useless scripts | Monitoring, security updates |
| Google Business Profile created or linked, consistent contact details | Reviews, posts, photos, replies, every month |
| Built-in blog, ready to publish | The articles themselves, one a month |
| Bilingual version with hreflang | Translation of new content |
| Redirects from the old site during a rebuild | External links, citations, relationships |
If a provider bills you monthly for what is in the left column, the site was not built properly, and the subscription is a poor way to make up for it. If your site is more than three or four years old, a rebuild that includes all of this often costs less than a year of subscription, and delivers more. Our article freelancer, agency or Wix helps you choose who should carry out that rebuild.
What you can do yourself, for free
A large part of SEO for a small business requires neither technical skill nor a provider. It requires regularity.
- The Google Business Profile : create it, verify it, fill it in, add photos, reply to reviews. Free, one afternoon and then one hour a month. Our local SEO guide gives the method step by step.
- Reviews : ask every client, with the direct link. It is the most powerful local lever, and it costs nothing.
- One article a month on a question your clients ask, if you enjoy writing and your site has a blog. Google Search Console will tell you which searches it appears for.
- Consistency : the same name, the same address, the same phone number and the same opening hours on the site, the Google Business Profile, Instagram, Facebook and directories.
- Monitoring : thirty minutes a month in Search Console to see the searches, the rankings and the pages that cause problems.
What is better delegated: everything that touches the structure and the technical side of the site, the writing if you do not have time, earning links, and the analysis when the site stalls. A good provider will in fact tell you what you can do yourself; a provider who wants to bill for everything deserves watching.
How to read an SEO quote: the 8 signals
SEO quotes are often vague, and it is the vagueness that costs money. Here is what sets a serious quote apart.
- It lists deliverables, not intentions: “6 pages restructured, 12 articles of 1,500 words, structured data on every page, monthly report”, not “overall optimization of the site”.
- It names the searches it targets, with an estimate of volume and difficulty, and it explains why those ones.
- It promises no ranking. Nobody controls Google; a provider who guarantees “the first page” is lying or targeting searches nobody types. Google says the same in its advice on choosing an SEO provider.
- It starts with an audit and adapts the plan to your site, rather than one identical package for everyone.
- It separates one-off work from monthly work, and it lets you cancel the monthly part.
- It leaves you the owner of the site, the domain name, the Search Console and Google Business Profile access, and the content produced.
- It defines how the result is measured : rankings on the target searches, visits coming from Google, leads, with a readable report.
- It has no “backlinks” line counted by volume (“50 links a month”): serious links are not bought by weight.
The traps in SEO contracts, and how to avoid them
Beyond the price, some clauses cost more than the service itself. Here they are, as we have seen them in our clients’ contracts.
- The twelve-month commitment you cannot cancel, agreed before any result has been measured. A serious contract can be cancelled with one month’s notice; the provider keeps the client through results, not through the clause.
- Content that belongs to the provider : when the contract ends, the articles leave with it. Everything produced for your site is yours, and it must be written into the contract.
- Access you do not have : Search Console, Google Business Profile and analytics created under the provider’s account. Those accounts belong on yours, with delegated access for the provider that you can revoke.
- The site hosted on the provider’s platform, impossible to move. The SEO you have built is then held hostage: leaving means starting from zero.
- Reports that measure activity, not results : “20 optimizations carried out”, “8 backlinks obtained”, with no ranking and no lead. Insist on the three figures that count: rankings on the named searches, visits from Google, leads.
- Billing per keyword : “10 keywords tracked for MAD 3,000 per month”. Rank tracking is automatic and costs nothing; what costs is the work that makes them rise.
The simplest protection is to put everything in writing: deliverables, ownership, access, cancellation, reporting. A serious provider accepts without difficulty; a provider who refuses has already answered you.
How long before you judge a provider?
SEO is slow, and that slowness is sometimes used as an excuse. Here are reasonable markers for a Moroccan showcase website, based on what we observe.
- At one month : the technical fixes are done and visible (titles, speed, structured data, Search Console configured), and the Google Business Profile is complete. If none of that has been done, the problem is already there.
- At three months : the site appears on its local, specific searches, the first visits from Google show up, and so do the first leads. The report shows rankings that move.
- At six months : the trend is clear, content pages bring in visits, and broader searches start appearing on the second or third page.
- At twelve months : competitive searches are progressing, and the number of leads either justifies the spend or does not. This is the time to decide whether to continue, scale back or bring the work in-house.
If nothing has moved on local searches after three months, either the provider is not working or the site is the problem. In both cases, do not extend in hope: ask for the detail of what was done, page by page, and compare it with the quote.
Three typical budgets for a Moroccan business
To make the figures concrete, here are three common situations and what we advise, including when the answer is not us.
The local shop or practice, with no website or an old one
Budget: a well-built showcase website with basic SEO and the Google Business Profile, that is MAD 2,999 at Léra Concept, then the free work described above (reviews, consistency, one article a month). Expected outcome: first page on “trade + neighborhood” within one to three months. An SEO subscription is not necessary at the start; maintenance at MAD 299 per month is enough for the monitoring.
The SME in a competitive market in a large city
Budget: a well-built site, then monthly support of MAD 2,000 to 5,000 with regular content (two to four articles a month) and link work, for at least twelve months. Expected outcome: progress on “trade + city” within six to twelve months, with a monthly report that shows the leads. If the provider does not measure leads, change provider.
The national company or the online store
Budget: MAD 5,000 to 15,000 per month or more, with a dedicated team, an in-depth audit, a content strategy, links and continuous technical monitoring. This is not our line of work; we will point you to a specialist agency, and we advise you to demand the eight signals above with even more rigor, because the amounts are high.
Paid search: when, and at what price
Paid search (Google Ads) is another subject, but the question always comes up next to SEO: should you pay for ads instead? The two do not rule each other out. Ads give immediate results, stop as soon as you stop paying, and cost in Morocco from a few dirhams to several dozen dirhams per click depending on the sector; SEO is slow at first and cumulative afterwards.
The sensible strategy for a small business: a well-built site with basic SEO, the Google Business Profile and reviews first; targeted ads, on a controlled budget, for quiet periods or a launch; and regular content so that the free share grows. Ads that send people to a slow or badly built site waste the budget: the site always comes first.
What Léra Concept does, and what we do not
So that this article stays an honest comparison, here is our exact position. We build showcase websites at a fixed price, MAD 2,999, with basic SEO included: structure built around searches, titles and descriptions, structured data, speed, sitemap, Search Console, linked Google Business Profile, bilingual version, blog. We handle the monitoring as part of maintenance at MAD 299 per month, with no commitment: updates, backups, fixes, monitoring of Search Console and the Google Business Profile, adjustments. The details are on our SEO page.
We do not sell heavy SEO support for competitive national markets, nor link campaigns, nor writing in volume. When a client needs that, we say so and we point them elsewhere. What we do guarantee is that a site delivered by us will not need to pay for the left column of the table above: it is done, once, properly.
To know where you stand, one hour is enough: open Google Search Console, test the speed of your home page, and search for your trade and your city from a phone. If the site is the problem, the Order page lets you start again on a sound footing in 5 business days. If the site is good and you want to go further, you now know how to read a quote.
Frequently asked questions
In 2026, an audit costs MAD 1,500 to 8,000, an initial optimization MAD 2,000 to 15,000, and monthly support MAD 1,500 to 10,000 per month depending on the provider and the competition. An SEO-driven rebuild runs from MAD 5,000 to 40,000. At Léra Concept, basic SEO is included in the MAD 2,999 showcase website and the monitoring in maintenance at MAD 299 per month.
Not at the start. A well-built site, a complete Google Business Profile and regular reviews are enough to appear on “trade + neighborhood” within one to three months. Monthly support makes sense in a competitive market in a large city, with regular content and a report that measures the leads received.
No. Nobody controls Google’s ranking. A provider who guarantees a position is targeting searches nobody types, or lying. Google itself warns against these promises. Ask instead for precise deliverables, named searches, and a monthly report with rankings, visits and leads.
The structure built around searches (one page per service and per city), the titles and descriptions of every page, structured data, speed, the sitemap, Google Search Console set up, the linked Google Business Profile and the blog. That is what a serious website contains on delivery, and what Léra Concept includes in every MAD 2,999 website.
No, and they can do harm. Google ignores or penalizes links that are bought, exchanged in bulk or placed on worthless sites, which it describes in its spam policies. For a small Moroccan business, around ten real links (reputable directories, partners, local press, Google Business Profile) are enough, and they mostly come from content worth citing.
With the site and its basic SEO, then the Google Business Profile and reviews: that is free and lasting. Google Ads gives immediate results but stops with the budget, and it wastes money if it sends people to a slow or badly built site. Use it afterwards, on a controlled budget, for a launch or a quiet period.
